Dear Colleagues, it is our pleasure to announce the 7th edition of the SPCE-TC International Meeting which will be hosted by us. Please have a look into the Program already available on the webpage http://www.7spce-tc.ineb.up.pt/ and submit your work. Registrations are already open and the abstract submission deadline is on February the 16th. To "Undergraduates" and to students enrolled in the first year of a Doctoral Program special fees have been granted. In case you would like sponsoring for a membership to the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapies please contact any colleague from the Organization’s event. We are looking forward to meeting you at the 7th SPCE-TC Meeting!

Following the call Nr. 09/SI/2011, in the framework of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF), aimed at the recognition of competences in qualification areas considered strategic and with the aim of providing consulting services and innovation support to SMEs, the set of entities to whom the qualified entity status for the provision of R&D and innovation services to SMEs was published.

The attribution of the status has considered the qualification areas defined in the call and for the area "Research and Technological Development (RTD)" several scientific and technological domains were considered a priority and initiatives have been qualified providing new technological solutions through technical-scientific studies and small R&D projects covering components of industrial research and/or experimental development, to improve and/or creation of new products, processes or systems, as well as the subsequent technology transfer for companies. The services provided in this context cannot correspond to research projects underway in the selected entity.
 
INEB was qualified to provide R&D and innovation services in the following science and technological domains, included in the qualification area "R&D and Technology Transfer":
• Biotechnology
• Health Sciences
• Technologies and Materials Science
• Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control
 
INEB carries out its scientific activity in areas of Biomaterials, Tissue regeneration, Nanomedicine, Bioimaging, Biomedical signals and Geoepidemiology.
