Objetivos, atividades e resultados esperados/atingidos:



The current Program aims to understand and decipher the complex crosstalk that takes place between the host immune system and foreign entities, namely pathogens and bioengineered materials, with the final goal of proposing new combinatorial therapeutic strategies to fight disease and improve patients quality of life. By combining knowledge and expertise in different fields and encompassing research in several related and complementary areas, it represents a unique opportunity to tackle complex problems on infection, immunity and tissue repair.
