Every year the A.L. participates in this Science Fair with the collaboration of A.L. scientists. Several hands on experiments are available to share with the public. Last year we played a game where students were challenged to synthesise a small sequence of a protein, but sometimes there were DNA mistakes and a disease occurred...

OSC has a long-standing collaboration with Ciência Viva in activities involving high school students and teachers such as Science in Holidays (Ocupação Científica de Jovens nas Férias.This programme takes place during the summer holidays and aims to provide its students with an opportunity to work in a research laboratory.

OSC collaborates with Universidade do Porto in activities involving high school students such as Escola de Ciências da Vida e da Saúde. This programme takes place during one week in the summer holidays and aims to provide its students with an opportunity to work in a research institution focused on health issues.
